Board & Train
With busy life and work schedules, it’s often difficult to devote the initial time and effort required to establish a healthy and successful relationship with our dogs. The Camp Opie training team is here to help with our 1-week, 2-week, and 3-week Board & Train Programs.
We will help you establish a solid foundation of basic behavioral skills for your pup and assist you in becoming the best dog parent you can be.
An initial consultation will help the trainer customize a personalized and comprehensive program to meet the needs of each dog based on the training goals of the pet parent. Programs will be tailored specifically to your dog’s unique personality and preferences. You and your family will also learn all the needed skills to further implement and reinforce the good habits once back at home.
Each Board & Train package will include follow up training sessions to help reinforce new learned skills and avoid a regression towards old habits when back home.
Puppy Head Start
Here at Camp Opie, we appreciate the beautiful bond we have with our dogs. We desire to help cultivate this relationship at an early stage by establishing ground rules and boundaries for our puppies that will solidify the foundation for a lifetime of stress-free, relaxed, and fun times with our four-legged family members.
This class is designed to help your puppy learn key social skills and dog etiquette while also helping you provide the loving leadership and guidance your dog needs.
This class is designed for puppies under 6 months of age.
Day Training
All the things your dog loves about visiting Camp Opie with individualized training sessions to boot! Your dog’s daycare experience will be enhanced by a training session and an enrichment activity on each day. We require at least 2 sessions per week to best reform old habits and ingrain new desirable patterns. E-collar conditioning and training programs are available.
Private Training Sessions
Can’t stomach the idea of parting ways with your dog for a week or even a day?…. We understand! Private training sessions offer each owner the opportunity to speak with and be trained along-side your dog each step of the way. Our trainer would meet you at your home or another agreed upon location to assess your situation. After the assessment, the trainer will being working with you and your dog to address any issues, implement new teachings, and recommend training exercises. The trainer will be there each step of the way to offer guidance and assist both you and your dog. Whether you have a very specific targeted issue or are not ready to commit to a longer program, this is an excellent way to begin you and your dog’s training journey with no strings attached.
